Course: Moving Up the Product Management Career Ladder
I’m launching a new course for product managers who are thinking about the next steps in their careers: Moving Up The Product Management Career Ladder.
Intended for Product Managers and similar roles, we’ll unpack what Directors do; look at internal and external opportunities for promotion; and identify some critical Director-level skills that are different from core Product Manager skills.
Sessions will have lots of interaction, exercises, and no more than 20 people per session — so we can all safely ask tough questions and share personal experiences.
The cohort is at 3pm Pacific on June 3rd, 10th, and 17th (Mondays), ideal for folks in the Americas and ANZ. Details and syllabus are here.
The cohort is at 8am Pacific on July 10th, 17th, and 24th (Wednesdays), ideal for folks in the Americas and Europe. Details, syllabus here.
With a small group of your product, we’ll dig into what Directors do, and how executives think. We’ll share real-world experiences. We’ll discover that most product managers are wrestling with the same set of challenges:
- Mapping out your career
- What do Directors of Product do?
- Internal and external promotions
- Learning how to speak the language of money (as well as the language of development processes)
- Merchandizing product wins
- Role-playing Director-level conversations
Three 90-minute sessions: US$320
